The Center for Scientific Information Analysis and Monitoring (CSIAM) of the Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia is planning to hold the third international school titled “Modern Trends in Science: Scientometrics”. Currently, scientometric procedures and methods are increasingly used to analyze and evaluate developments and trends in R&D and also provide the ability to make decisions based on them in various areas of science management. Therefore, data analysis, processing and interpretation, as well as at least basic knowledge in the field of scientometrics require appropriate experience and training. The planned school will address the mentioned and a number of other issues, including the Open Science movement, its importance, current state and future developments. A separate reference will be made to the issue of promotion of Armenian scientific journals and their integration in international platforms. Since 2010, CSIAM has successfully organized two international schools (2014 and 2018), enabling many students and researchers to acquire relevant skills and knowledge in the field of scientometrics.
